- Alyssa Swan is the author of many published and unpublished works. After joining a writers' forum January 2011 she started honing her writing abilities and in August 2011 started submitting her work. Within six months she had amassed eight publications, all flash fiction pieces. Her ultimate goal is to have a chick-lit novel published before 2015. In the meantime, her published works can be found in a number of e-zines and anthologies. Alyssa is single, living in London, UK with her son and drawing unlimited inspiration from her friends, who are never short of a drama or two!

Progress Halted
The week for me was filled with reconnecting with friends and letting my creative juices simmer. I managed to write a short inspired by a good friend and had an idea for another short but as yet haven't managed to get it down. I received three rejections, which while disheartening has not dented my enthusiasm to keep trying with that particular publisher. Over on my writing forum I critiqued a couple of stories, which made me feel good as I pointed out there SPaG errors and put forward suggestions for improvement.
